Ultrasound Wipes Aren't All the Same — 28 Years of Getting It Right at Meidi Medical
You've seen it in an ultrasound room: the doctor pauses mid-scan, grabs a sheet of paper to wipe gel off the probe, and a few white fibers stick to the lens. So they wipe again. Ten seconds lost. Multiply that by forty patients a day.
It's a small thing. But small things add up — slower exams, annoyed sonographers, probes that need more frequent cleaning.
That's why we make four different ultrasound wipes. Not because we felt like it. Because a busy OB/GYN clinic in Jakarta has different needs than a health screening center in Riyadh.
Four Products, One Standard
375g Standard
375g Standard: 250×300mm, 4-ply, 62.5 gsm. The workhorse. One Saudi distributor we've worked with for seven years runs through over two million packs annually. His feedback was simple: "No lint." That's the bar. Not "low lint." None.
800g High-Volume
800g High-Volume: 220×240mm, still 4-ply, but 800 grams per pack. Built for places that don't have time to swap paper every twenty minutes. A health screening chain in China told us switching to this cut their consumable replacement frequency by 60% during morning peak hours.
Double-Layer Composite
Double-Layer Composite: 225×200mm, 2-ply, 37.5 gsm. This one is for departments that need the bio-safety numbers but have tighter budgets. The absorption speed isn't far off the 4-ply versions, and with irradiation sterilization, bacterial counts come in under 5 CFU/g. That figure isn't from a brochure — it's what our QC lab logs every batch. For context, China's national standard allows up to 600 CFU/g.
Hanging N-Fold
Hanging N-Fold: 22.5×19cm, 2-ply. We spent the better part of a year on this one. The idea came from a Japanese distributor who visited the factory in 2022. He pointed at the wall and said, "Can you make one that hangs?" So we did. N-fold continuous pull, no outer box needed. Mount it on a bed rail, a cart, a hook. One-hand operation. The crystal embossing was a happy accident — we were trying to solve a feeding issue on the production line, and the embossed texture also made the paper fluffier, more absorbent, and better-looking on the shelf. Now it's a selling point.
The Factory That Makes All Four
It starts with one number: 5,000 square meters of GMP Class 100,000 cleanroom space.
We're in Jinan, Shandong. 10,000 square meters under roof. 15 production lines, all in-house — from pulp preparation and embossing through folding, sterilization, and packaging. Nothing is outsourced midway. The MDC-006 automated line was designed by our own engineering team: 11 linked units, 36 packs per minute for postpartum paper, finished product qualification rate at 99.98%. For reference, the industry average sits around 91%.
Why does that matter for ultrasound wipes? Because the same cleanroom, the same QC chain, the same sterilization setup that handles maternity pads also handles your probe wipes. The bacterial count comes in under 5 CFU/g because the entire production environment is built for medical-grade output, not because we run a special batch once in a while.
On the R&D side, we've got a joint lab with Shandong University Qilu Hospital. Not a plaque-on-the-wall arrangement — clinicians send us feedback from actual ultrasound rooms, and our engineers tweak the formula. The 37.5 gsm weight on the double-layer composite? That was the result of testing five different grammages before landing on the one that balanced absorption speed and material cost. The hanging version's embossing mold? Four revisions before we signed off.
OEM: We Mean It
Printing your logo on our paper is the easy part. The real work is everything else.
Smallest OEM order we've fulfilled was 500 packs, for a startup brand in Eastern Europe testing the waters. Largest was a 40-foot container to the Middle East with three variants mixed, delivered in six weeks. OEM business makes up roughly 40% of our exports across 30-something countries.
Samples Are Free. Shipping Is On You.
All four models are available for sampling. The product itself costs you nothing — just cover the freight to wherever you are.
If you're a distributor, a hospital buyer, or a brand looking for a private-label ultrasound wipe supplier, send us an email or WhatsApp. We'll ship the samples with full documentation — CMP,FSC, FDA, SGS test reports, the works.
